Common Injuries in Pickleball

Being an avid pickleballer myself, I’ve had a lot of experience in dealing with my own injuries as well as those of my friends. The physical demands of pickleball can include quick lateral movements, explosive volleys, lunging, rapid changes in direction, backpeddling and the impact of the paddle, all of which can lead to tendonitis, tendinosis, strains, sprains, and fractures.

Here are a few of the common injuries we see:

• Tennis elbow
• Rotator cuff injuries and tendonitis
• Knee sprains, strains and tendonitis
• Wrist strains and tendonitis
• Low back pain
• On occasion we’ve seen patients with dizziness or vestibular issues as well.

Our team is adept at utilizing techniques aimed at treating soft tissue dysfunction. We use massage, myofascial release, cupping, dry needing and modalities. We will prescribe exercises to target your individual issue. We are focused on helping you alleviate pain, restore strength, and gain mobility so you can get back on the court and play your best
